Hi everyone! Thanks for joining me to celebrate a PNR title that had me howling!
V. M. Black's classic serial, Cora's Choice, begins with an episode entitled Life Blood. Here's the blurb to give you an idea...
First Episode in the Bestselling Completed Vampire Serial
Introducing a world in which vampires are born, not made...
She wanted life. He needed her blood.
Cora Shaw will do anything to live. Diagnosed with terminal cancer in her senior year of college, she is given a choice: Call hospice, or seek out a mysterious man who promises an impossible–and insanely dangerous–cure.
She knows him only as Mr. Thorne, a reclusive billionaire who seems full of contradictions. A man with strange, impossible powers over her.
A man, she discovers, who is not a man at all.
I loved the premise of this book. V. M. Black does a spectacular job of putting you in Cora's shoes and laying her world out in front of you. I felt like I could see Mr. Thorne's building, taste the air outside and of course I could only sympathize with Cora as she fell under the spell of the mysterious Mr. Thorne.
Have you read Life Blood? What did you think?
